Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Cuba/Spoon River Valley Wildcats (Cuba, IL) and the host Blue Ridge Knights (Farmer City, IL), saw Cuba/Spoon River Valley's basketball squad knock off Blue Ridge by a count of 66-55.

With the victory, Cuba/Spoon River Valley upgrades its record to 7-9 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Brimfield (Brimfield, IL) to play the Indians in a Prairieland challenge on Friday, January 5. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 5-9. Brimfield won 70-59 in their recent non-league challenge against Midland (Varna, IL)

Next up, the Knights play the Villa Grove Blue Devils (Villa Grove, IL) in a Lincoln Prairie challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Blue Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 9-6 season record.
