Boonville Pioneers (Boonville, IN) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Perry Central Commodores (Leopold, IN), 51-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Boonville upgrades its record to 3-7 on the season. The Pioneers host Castle (Newburgh, IN) to clash with the Knights in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 3. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 3-4. Castle lost 70-60 in their recent non-league bout against Crown Point (Crown Point, IN)

Next up, the Commodores clash with the West Washington Senators (Campbellsburg, IN) in a Patoka Lake bout, on Friday, January 5. Perry Central will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The Senators go into the bout with a 3-5 record after their 47-43 non-league loss to Northeast Dubois (Dubois, IN).
