The Marked Tree Indians basketball team (Marked Tree, AR), was toppled 62-45 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Buffalo Island Central Mustangs (Monette, AR)
The Mustangs now possess a 14-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Harding Academy for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 2. Buffalo Island Central will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 55-37 non-league loss to Greenbrier (Greenbrier, AR). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-3.
The Indians (12-3) will now prepare for their battle against Hillcrest (Strawberry, AR). The Screamin Eagles come into the 1A Region 3 battle with a 4-18 record. In their last battle, Hillcrest was toppled by Bentonville West (Centerton, AR), 81-46, in a non-league battle.
