Calexico Bulldogs (Calexico, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Desert Hot Springs Golden Eagles (Desert Hot Springs, CA), 57-24 in a non-league challenge.

With the victory, Calexico improves its record to 8-7 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Southwest EC (El Centro, CA) to confront the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 4. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 2-6. Southwest EC lost 64-19 in their recent non-league challenge against Granite Hills (El Cajon, CA)

Next up, the Golden Eagles confront the Coachella Valley Mighty Arabs (Thermal, CA) in a Desert Valley challenge, on Wednesday, January 3. Desert Hot Springs will attempt to improve on its 3-6 season record. The Mighty Arabs come into the challenge with a 3-14 record after their 57-45 non-league loss to Xavier Prep (Palm Desert, CA).
