With the victory, King improves its record to 7-16 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Victoria East (Victoria, TX) to play the Titans in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Titans come into the challenge with a record of 13-10. Victoria East lost 73-48 in their recent non-league challenge against Cole (San Antonio, TX)

Next up, the Sandcrabs play the Orange Grove Bulldogs (Orange Grove, TX) in a 4A Region IV District 30 challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Calhoun will attempt to improve on its 1-11 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 2-12 record after their 78-32 non-league loss to London (Corpus Christi, TX).
