Eureka Hornets (Eureka, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Canton Little Giants (Canton, IL), 35-24 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Eureka upgrades its record to 6-7 on the season. The Hornets host Pittsfield (Pittsfield, IL) to play the Saukees in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 30. The Saukees go into the bout with a record of 11-2. Pittsfield won 46-27 in their recent non-league bout against Brown County (Mt. Sterling, IL)

Next up, the Little Giants play the Delavan Panthers (Delavan, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Canton will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record.
