In Saturday's non-league outing, the Sumner Spartans (Sumner, WA) basketball squad edged the host Cascade Cougars (Turner, OR), by a margin of 68-61.
The Spartans (9-1) will now prepare for their outing against Curtis (University Place, WA). The Vikings go into the 4A South Puget Sound - North outing with a 8-4 record. In their last outing, Curtis was tipped by Lone Peak (Highland, UT), 61-45, in a non-league outing.
The Cougars now own a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to Marist for a non-league outing on Thursday, January 4. Cascade will clash with a Spartans squad coming off a 49-46 non-league win over Philomath (Philomath, OR). The Spartans record now stands at 7-4.
