In Saturday's non-league match, the host Churchland Truckers basketball team scored a tight 72-68 triumph over the Kecoughtan Warriors.
In their next game, the Truckers face the Cape Henry Collegiate Dolphins (Virginia Beach, VA) in a Tidewater Independent match, on Friday, January 5. Churchland will attempt to move on its 6-3 season record. The Dolphins enter the match with a 4-4 record after their 69-42 league win over Collegiate (Richmond, VA).
