In Saturday's non-league outing, the Dripping Springs Tigers (Dripping Springs, TX) basketball squad beat the visiting Connally Cadets (Waco, TX), by a margin of 60-43.

The Tigers (12-10) will now prepare for their outing against Del Valle (Del Valle, TX). The Cardinals go into the 6A Region IV District 26 outing with a 4-11 record. In their last match, Del Valle overcame Spring Woods (Houston, TX), 59-47, in a non-league match.

With the defeat, Connally moves to 7-11 on the year. The Cadets host Whitney (Whitney, TX) to meet the Wildcats in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 2. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 6-7. Whitney lost 99-31 in their recent non-league match against Eastern Hills (Fort Worth, TX)
