In Saturday's non-league match, the host Independence Eagles basketball team scored a good 58-44 triumph over the Dorman Cavaliers.
In their next game, the Eagles meet the Brentwood Bruins (Brentwood, TN) in a 4A District 10 match, on Tuesday, January 2. Independence will attempt to move on its 12-3 season record. The Bruins enter the match with a 6-1 record after their 46-40 non-league loss to Blackman (Murfreesboro, TN).
