With the victory, Monterey Trail improves its record to 11-1 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to River City (West Sacramento, CA) to confront the Raiders in a Metropolitan Conference challenge on Wednesday, January 3. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 8-7. River City lost 68-48 in their recent non-league challenge against Bear Creek (Stockton, CA)

Next up, the Wildcats confront the Oceanside Pirates (Oceanside, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 5. El Camino will attempt to improve on its 8-8 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 7-8 record after their 61-50 non-league loss to Olympian (Chula Vista, CA).
