The Elgin Academy Hilltoppers basketball team (Elgin, IL), dropped 65-57 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Shepard Astros (Palos Heights, IL)
The Astros now possess a 4-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bremen for a South Suburban battle on Tuesday, January 9. Shepard will battle a Braves team coming off a 60-44 non-league loss to Thornton Fractional South (Lansing, IL). The Braves record now stands at 3-13.
The Hilltoppers (7-9) will now prepare for their battle against Aurora Central Catholic (Aurora, IL). The Chargers come into the non-league battle with a 7-9 record. In their last battle, Aurora Central Catholic dropped by Harvest Christian Academy (Elgin, IL), 48-46, in a non-league battle.
