Connecticut High School Basketball - Portland can't hold off Ellington

The Ellington Knights basketball team scored 46 points and restricted the host Portland Highlanders to 44 in the Knights non-league victory on Saturday.

The Knights now sport a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Somers for a North Central Connecticut contest on Wednesday, January 3.

The Highlanders (0-5) will now prepare for their contest against Westbrook (Westbrook, CT). The Knights come into the Shoreline contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, Westbrook edged Wright Tech (Stamford, CT), 51-34, in a non-league contest.
