The Ocean Springs Greyhounds topped the host Escambia Gators basketball team by a final score of 59-47 in Saturday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Greyhounds face the Gulfport Admirals (Gulfport, MS) in a 7A Region 4 game, on Tuesday, January 9. Ocean Springs will attempt to move on its 12-2 season record. The Admirals enter the game with a 5-10 record after their 58-55 non-league loss to Hancock (Kiln, MS).
With the defeat, Escambia moves to 5-11 on the year. The Gators travel to West Florida (Pensacola, FL) to face the Jaguars in a non-league game on Friday, January 5. The Jaguars enter the game with a record of 8-6. West Florida lost 54-40 in their recent non-league game against Murphy (Mobile, AL)
