Everglades Gators (Miramar, FL) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Stoneman Douglas Eagles (Parkland, FL), 74-48 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Everglades upgrades its record to 10-3 on the campaign. The Gators travel to Dr. Joaquin Garcia (Lake Worth, FL) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 4. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 6-3. Dr. Joaquin Garcia lost 62-59 in their recent non-league bout against Leonard (Greenacres, FL)

Next up, the Eagles play the Hollywood Hills Spartans (Hollywood, FL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 8. Stoneman Douglas will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Spartans come into the bout with a 2-7 record after their 57-45 non-league loss to Fort Lauderdale (Fort Lauderdale, FL).
