Texas High School Basketball - Glen Rose can't hold off La Vega

The La Vega Pirates basketball team scored 58 points and restricted the visiting Glen Rose Tigers to 55 in the Pirates non-league victory on Saturday.

The Pirates now sport a 11-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to LaPoynor for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 3. La Vega will battle a Flyers team coming off a 67-56 non-league loss to Mexia (Mexia, TX). The Flyers record now stands at 12-8.

The Tigers (11-11) will now prepare for their contest against China Spring (China Spring, TX). The Cougars come into the non-league contest with a 11-12 record. In their last contest, China Spring edged Van Vleck (Van Vleck, TX), 41-27, in a non-league contest.
