Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Granville Central Panthers (Stem, NC) and the host Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA), saw Granville Central's basketball squad hold off Nansemond River by a tally of 56-54.
With the victory, Granville Central improves its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Louisburg (Louisburg, NC) to play the Warriors in a 2A/3A Northern Lakes challenge on Friday, January 5. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 6-2.
