The Hazen Highlanders basketball team (Renton, WA), was nudged 50-45 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Kent-Meridian Royals (Kent, WA)
The Royals now possess a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Highline for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 2. Kent-Meridian will confront a Pirates team coming off a 92-60 non-league loss to Beamer (Federal Way, WA). The Pirates record now stands at 3-8.
The Highlanders (2-6) will now prepare for their battle against Juanita (Kirkland, WA). The Ravens come into the 3A KingCo battle with a 4-7 record. In their last battle, Juanita was nudged by Sunnyside (Sunnyside, WA), 58-50, in a non-league battle.
