In Saturday's non-league match, the host Spearfish Spartans basketball team scored a tight 47-46 triumph over the Hot Springs Bison.
In their next game, the Spartans meet the Hill City Rangers (Hill City, SD) in a non-league match, on Thursday, January 4. Spearfish will attempt to better on its 2-3 season record. The Rangers enter the match with a 3-3 record after their 60-45 non-league loss to West Central (Hartford, SD).
