Lewis Mills Spartans (Burlington, CT) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Suffield Wildcats (West Suffield, CT), 68-27 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Lewis Mills upgrades its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Spartans host Bristol Eastern (Bristol, CT) to play the Lancers in a Central Connecticut - West Colonial bout on Wednesday, January 3. The Lancers come into the bout with a record of 4-1. Bristol Eastern lost 50-27 in their recent non-league bout against Simsbury (Simsbury, CT)

Next up, the Wildcats play the East Granby Crusaders (East Granby, CT) in a North Central Connecticut bout, on Wednesday, January 3. Suffield will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Crusaders come into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 67-39 non-league loss to Plainville (Plainville, CT).
