California High School Basketball - Lindhurst topped by Mesa Verde

The Mesa Verde Mavericks basketball team scored 71 points and restricted the host Lindhurst Blazers to 52 in the Mavericks non-league victory on Saturday.

The Mavericks now sport a 2-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Woodland for a Golden Empire League contest on Tuesday, January 2. Mesa Verde will battle a Wolves team coming off a 55-53 non-league win over East Nicolaus (Nicolaus, CA). The Wolves record now stands at 6-2.

The Blazers (1-12) will now prepare for their contest against Twelve Bridges (Lincoln, CA). The Raging Rhinos come into the Pioneer Valley League contest with a 10-4 record. In their last contest, Twelve Bridges prevailed over Mira Loma (Sacramento, CA), 58-51, in a non-league contest.
