South Dakota High School Basketball - Lower Brule nips Sanborn Central/Woonsocket

December 30, 2023: Lower Brule, SD 57548

Lower Brule Sioux (Lower Brule, SD) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Rebels (Forestburg, SD), 55-49 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Lower Brule upgrades its record to 3-4 on the campaign. The Sioux travel to Platte/Geddes (Platte, SD) to play the Black Panthers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Black Panthers come into the bout with a record of 3-0.

Next up, the Rebels play the Bridgewater/Emery Huskies (Emery, SD) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Sanborn Central/Woonsocket will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Huskies come into the bout with a 2-4 record after their 58-56 non-league loss to Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] (Gettysburg, SD).
