McMinn Central Chargers (Englewood, TN) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Wartburg Central Bulldogs (Wartburg, TN), 85-49 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, McMinn Central upgrades its record to 8-7 on the campaign. The Chargers host Lenoir City (Lenoir City, TN) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 4. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 3-8. Lenoir City lost 65-62 in their recent non-league bout against Chuckey-Doak (Afton, TN)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Harriman Blue Devils (Harriman, TN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Wartburg Central will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a 10-1 record after their 64-47 non-league win over Concord Christian (Knoxville, TN).
