Nebraska High School Basketball - Minden can't hold off St. Patrick's

December 30, 2023: North Platte, NE 69101

The St. Patrick's Irish basketball team scored 68 points and restricted the visiting Minden Whippets to 61 in the Irish non-league victory on Saturday.

The Irish now sport a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Perkins County for a non-league contest on Friday, January 5. St. Patrick's will battle a Plainsmen team coming off a 58-28 non-league win over Leyton (Dalton, NE). The Plainsmen record now stands at 7-2.

The Whippets (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Ainsworth (Ainsworth, NE). The Bulldogs come into the non-league contest with a 8-1 record. In their last contest, Ainsworth edged Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] (Clearwater, NE), 58-55, in a non-league contest.
