The Norfolk Collegiate Mighty Oaks basketball team (Norfolk, VA), was nudged 55-51 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Severn School Admirals (Severna Park, MD)
The Admirals now possess a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Mary's for a MIAA B - Black battle on Wednesday, January 3. Severn School will confront a Saints team coming off a 45-40 non-league loss to Atholton (Columbia, MD). The Saints record now stands at 0-6.
The Mighty Oaks (12-3) will now prepare for their battle against Smithfield (Smithfield, VA). The Packers come into the non-league battle with a 5-2 record. In their last battle, Smithfield edged Bethel (Hampton, VA), 65-62, in a non-league battle.
