Illinois High School Basketball - Plainfield East can't hold off Schaumburg

The Schaumburg Saxons basketball team scored 47 points and held the host Plainfield East Bengals to 41 in the Saxons non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Saxons now sport a 11-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mather for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 3.

The Bengals (6-10) will now prepare for their contest against Oswego East (Oswego, IL). The Wolves enter the SouthWest Prairie contest with a 12-5 record. In their last contest, Oswego East nudged Brother Rice (Chicago, IL), 79-68, in a non-league contest.
