With the victory, Shamokin Area improves its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Indians host Jersey Shore (Jersey Shore, PA) to play the Bulldogs in a Heartland I challenge on Wednesday, January 3. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 0-6. Jersey Shore lost 65-53 in their recent non-league challenge against Bald Eagle Area (Wingate, PA)

Next up, the Crimson Tide play the Berks Catholic Saints (Reading, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Pottsville will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record. The Saints come into the challenge with a 6-0 record after their 77-73 non-league win over Trinity (Camp Hill, PA).
