In Saturday's non-league outing, the Rocksprings Angoras (Rocksprings, TX) basketball squad beat the host Whiteface Antelopes (Whiteface, TX), by a count of 59-49.

With the victory, Rocksprings upgrades its record to 14-3 on the campaign. The Angoras travel to Nueces Canyon (Barksdale, TX) to play the Panthers in a 1A Region IV District 31 challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 1-5. Nueces Canyon lost 70-39 in their recent non-league challenge against Grape Creek (San Angelo, TX)

Next up, the Antelopes play the Anton Bulldogs (Anton, TX) in a 1A Region I District 7 challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Whiteface will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record.
