California High School Basketball - Claremont nips Redlands East Valley

Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Claremont Wolfpack (Claremont, CA) and the host Redlands East Valley Wildcats (Redlands, CA), saw Claremont's basketball squad hold off Redlands East Valley by a count of 61-56.
With the victory, Claremont upgrades its record to 5-10 on the campaign. The Wolfpack host Glendora (Glendora, CA) to play the Tartans in a challenge on Friday, January 5. The Tartans come into the challenge with a record of 14-4. Glendora won 67-52 in their recent non-league challenge against Rio Hondo Prep (Arcadia, CA)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Cajon Cowboys (San Bernardino, CA) in a challenge, on Wednesday, January 3. Redlands East Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Cowboys come into the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 56-45 non-league loss to Colony (Ontario, CA).

Claremont led by 2 at the end of the first after going bucket for bucket

Claremont ends the half down by 3 after bad fouls and transition defense

Claremont bigs step up and extend the lead to 7 at the end of the 3rd. (Largest lead any team had)
Fourth Quarter
Claremont keeps momentum for awhile but Rev swings back with a couple of 3 pointers and big time 2 pt buckets coming within 6 pts. In the end Claremont wins 61-56
