Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Americas Trail Blazers (El Paso, TX) and the visiting Godley Wildcats (Godley, TX), saw Americas's basketball squad hold off Godley by a tally of 55-49.
With the victory, Americas improves its record to 17-5 on the campaign. The Trail Blazers host Del Valle (El Paso, TX) to confront the Conquistadores in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Conquistadores come into the challenge with a record of 9-12. Del Valle won 45-20 in their recent non-league challenge against Jefferson (El Paso, TX)
Next up, the Wildcats confront the Kennedale Wildcats (Kennedale, TX) in a 4A Region II District 10 challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Godley will attempt to improve on its 15-8 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 11-12 record after their 53-28 league win over Hillsboro (Hillsboro, TX).
