Bureau Valley Storm (Manlius, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Rockridge Rockets (Taylor Ridge, IL), 37-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Bureau Valley upgrades its record to 10-7 on the season. The Storm travel to Illinois Valley Central (Chillicothe, IL) to clash with the Grey Ghosts in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 3. The Grey Ghosts go into the bout with a record of 8-5. Illinois Valley Central won 56-53 in their recent non-league bout against Joliet Catholic (Joliet, IL)

Next up, the Rockets clash with the Orion Chargers (Orion, IL) in a Three Rivers - West bout, on Thursday, January 4. Rockridge will attempt to upgrade on its 5-13 season record. The Chargers go into the bout with a 3-15 record after their 56-39 non-league loss to Stockton (Stockton, IL).
