With the victory, Burleson improves its record to 9-8 on the campaign. The Elks host Midlothian (Midlothian, TX) to confront the Panthers in a 5A Region I District 8 challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 4-17. Midlothian lost 45-25 in their recent non-league challenge against Rockwall-Heath (Rockwall, TX)
Next up, the Bobcats confront the Stephenville Yellow Jackets/Honeybees (Stephenville, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. San Angelo Central will attempt to improve on its 12-10 season record. The Yellow Jackets/Honeybees come into the challenge with a 15-7 record after their 37-27 non-league win over Liberty (Liberty, TX).
