Byng Pirates (Ada, OK) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Hartshorne Miners (Hartshorne, OK), 69-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Byng upgrades its record to 6-6 on the season. The Pirates travel to Madill (Madill, OK) to clash with the Wildcats in a Lake Country bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 4-3.

Next up, the Miners clash with the Latta Panthers (Ada, OK) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Hartshorne will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 6-4 record after their 57-53 non-league win over Stonewall (Stonewall, OK).
