In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Canfield Cardinals basketball team scored a tight 36-34 triumph over the West Branch Warriors.
In their next game, the Cardinals meet the Boardman Spartans (Youngstown, OH) in a All-American match, on Wednesday, January 3. Canfield will attempt to better on its 6-3 season record. The Spartans enter the match with a 7-2 record after their 29-22 non-league win over Hilliard Davidson (Hilliard, OH).
With the defeat, West Branch moves to 9-2 on the year. The Warriors travel to Minerva (Minerva, OH) to meet the Lions in a Eastern Buckeye match on Wednesday, January 3.
