West Ashley Wildcats (Charleston, SC) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Cathedral Academy Generals (North Charleston, SC), 47-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, West Ashley upgrades its record to 4-6 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Wando (Mt. Pleasant, SC) to clash with the Warriors in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 6-7. Wando lost 53-49 in their recent non-league bout against Fort Dorchester (North Charleston, SC)

Next up, the Generals clash with the Calhoun Academy Cavaliers (St. Matthews, SC) in a SCISA AA Region I bout, on Friday, January 5. Cathedral Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a 0-5 record after their 49-41 non-league loss to Charleston Collegiate (John's Island, SC).
