Mount Vernon won 74-24 in their recent non-league bout against Fruitvale (Fruitvale, TX)

Next up, the Cougars play the Ozona Lions (Ozona, TX) in a 2A Region I District 7 bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Christoval will attempt to upgrade on its 16-7 season record. The Lions come into the bout with a 20-2 record after their 41-22 non-league win over Wink (Wink, TX).
