Nevada High School Basketball - Virgin Valley can't hold off Churchill County

The Churchill County Greenwave basketball team scored 35 points and restricted the visiting Virgin Valley Bulldogs to 31 in the Greenwave non-league victory on Saturday.

The Greenwave now sport a 12-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Elko for a 3A Northern - East contest on Friday, January 5. Churchill County will battle a Indians team coming off a 66-44 non-league loss to Idaho Falls (Idaho Falls, ID). The Indians record now stands at 5-3.

The Bulldogs (8-8) will now prepare for their contest against Pinecrest Academy Cadence (Henderson, NV). The Cougars come into the 3A Southern - Desert contest with a 3-9 record. In their last contest, Pinecrest Academy Cadence was nudged by Boulder City (Boulder City, NV), 47-23, in a non-league contest.
