The Midland Bulldogs basketball team (Midland, TX), was nudged 40-37 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Crandall Pirates (Crandall, TX)

The Pirates now possess a 5-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Terrell for a 5A Region II District 14 battle on Tuesday, January 2. Crandall will battle a Tigers team coming off a 64-47 non-league loss to Marshall (Marshall, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 4-15.

The Bulldogs (10-11) will now prepare for their battle against Midland Legacy (Midland, TX). The Rebels come into the 6A Region I District 2 battle with a 9-12 record. In their last battle, Midland Legacy was nudged by Amarillo (Amarillo, TX), 64-27, in a non-league battle.
