With the victory, David Douglas upgrades its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Scots host Forest Grove (Forest Grove, OR) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 4. The Vikings come into the bout with a record of 9-0.

Next up, the Broncos play the Wilsonville Wildcats (Wilsonville, OR) in a 5A Northwest Oregon bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Parkrose will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 6-5 record after their 55-44 non-league loss to Nelson (Happy Valley, OR).
