With the victory, Portola improves its record to 14-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Beckman (Irvine, CA) to confront the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 8. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 11-4.

Next up, the Chargers confront the Newport Harbor Sailors (Newport Beach, CA) in a Wave challenge, on Thursday, January 4. Edison will attempt to improve on its 3-15 season record. The Sailors come into the battle with a 7-9 record after their 35-31 non-league win over Foothill (Santa Ana, CA).
