South Anchorage Wolverines (Anchorage, AK) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Kotzebue Huskies (Kotzebue, AK), 49-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, South Anchorage upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Wolverines host Bartlett (Anchorage, AK) to play the Golden Bears in a 4A Cook Inlet bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Golden Bears go into the bout with a record of 0-2.

Next up, the Huskies play the Hutchison Hawks (Fairbanks, AK) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 25. Kotzebue will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record.
