Texas High School Basketball - Wolfe City can't hold off Leonard

The Leonard Tigers basketball team scored 39 points and held the visiting Wolfe City Wolves to 34 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Tigers now sport a 15-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Honey Grove for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 30. Leonard will battle a Warriors team coming off a 56-39 non-league loss to Rains (Emory, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 12-7.

The Wolves (8-12) will now prepare for their contest against Bland (Merit, TX). The Tigers enter the 2A Region II District 14 contest with a 14-4 record. In their last contest, Bland nudged Big Sandy (Big Sandy, TX), 60-29, in a non-league contest.
