The Mountain View Bears basketball team scored 63 points and held the host Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes to 36 in the Bears non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Bears now sport a 4-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lambert for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 3. Mountain View will battle a Longhorns team coming off a 43-42 non-league win over Collins Hill (Suwanee, GA). The Longhorns record now stands at 6-8.

The Purple Hurricanes (2-8) will now prepare for their bout against Alcovy (Covington, GA). The Tigers go into the non-league bout with a 5-7 record. In their last bout, Alcovy overwhelmed Berkmar (Lilburn, GA), 58-36, in a non-league bout.
