The Panhandle Panthers basketball team (Panhandle, TX), dropped 50-39 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting New Home Leopards (New Home, TX)

The Leopards now sport a 14-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sundown for a 2A Region I District 5 battle on Tuesday, January 2. New Home will battle a Roughnecks team coming off a 66-33 non-league loss to Portales (Portales, NM). The Roughnecks record now stands at 9-10.

The Panthers (9-3) will now prepare for their battle against Farwell (Farwell, TX). The Steers come into the 2A Region I District 3 battle with a 18-3 record.
