Pine Lake Prep Pride (Mooresville, NC) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Concord Academy Eagles (Concord, NC), 49-30 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Pine Lake Prep upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The Pride travel to Lincoln Charter (Denver, NC) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 1-6.

Next up, the Eagles confront the Metrolina Christian Academy Warriors (Indian Trail, NC) in a challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Concord Academy will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 3-7 record after their 63-53 non-league loss to Wesleyan Christian Academy (High Point, NC).
