The Mayfield Wildcats basketball team (Mayfield, OH), was nudged 62-58 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Solon Comets (Solon, OH)
The Comets now possess a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Nordonia for a non-league battle on Friday, January 5. Solon will battle a Knights team coming off a 63-62 non-league loss to Berea-Midpark (Berea, OH). The Knights record now stands at 7-2.
The Wildcats (3-3) will now prepare for their battle against Euclid (Euclid, OH). The Panthers come into the non-league battle with a 1-4 record.
