The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Scranton Rockets (Scranton, AR) and the visiting Acorn Tigers (Mena, AR), observed Scranton's basketball team overcome Acorn by a score of 71-63.

The Rockets (16-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Mulberry (Mulberry, AR). The Yellowjackets come into the 1A Region 4 challenge with a 14-6 record. In their last challenge, Mulberry defeated Cedarville (Cedarville, AR), 62-58, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the Mountainburg Dragons (Mountainburg, AR) in a 2A Region 4 challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Acorn will attempt to improve on its 7-12 season record. The Dragons come into the challenge with a 8-9 record after their 59-54 non-league win over Wonderview (Hattieville, AR).
