Albemarle Patriots (Charlottesville, VA) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA), 74-54 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Albemarle upgrades its record to 7-2 on the year. The Patriots host Midlothian (Midlothian, VA) to face the Trojans in a non-league match on Saturday, January 4. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 1-4. Midlothian won 64-56 in their recent league match against Clover Hill (Midlothian, VA)

The Bruins now sport a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to King's Fork for a Southeastern match on Friday, January 10.
