Alcorn Central Bears (Glen, MS) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host North Panola Cougars (Sardis, MS), 58-44 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Alcorn Central upgrades its record to 10-6 on the year. The Bears travel to West Union (Myrtle, MS) to face the Eagles in a non-league match on Friday, January 3. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 15-3.

The Cougars now sport a 5-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Coahoma County for a 3A Region 2 match on Friday, January 3. North Panola will face a Red Panthers squad coming off a 54-41 non-league win over North Side (Shelby, MS). The Red Panthers record now stands at 16-4.
