The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the West Point-Beemer Cadets (West Point, NE) and the visiting Archangels Catholic Defenders (Humphrey, NE), observed West Point-Beemer's basketball team knock off Archangels Catholic by a score of 40-31.

The Cadets (7-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Douglas County West (Valley, NE). The Falcon come into the non-league challenge with a 5-1 record. In their last challenge, Douglas County West prevailed over Aquinas (David City, NE), 60-27, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Defenders encounter the Hartington-Newcastle Wildcats (Hartington, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 4. Archangels Catholic will attempt to improve on its 7-2 season record.
